I love Mac!! September 7, 2010 Emma Hayward (Jersey, Channel Islands) Initially I had no intention of buying a Mac as I've spent years using Windows and thought that learning a new operating system would just be too tricky. However, after lots of research and investigation, I finally decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did!! Easy to operate, about 5 times as fast as my partner's laptop (which is fairly new and a high spec model), Safari is absolutely brilliant and I even decided to go for Mac's version of office after being so impressed with all things Apple. Short cuts easy to work out, not a single compatibility issue when emailing/transferring info between Mac and pc. Machine itself is sleek, slimline and looks great. The screen quality is amazing. If you're in any doubt about making the switch, please don't be - I've never been happier with a product in my life!!

Bought 200 of these just to see what the chances of getting a duff one were, and they were all fully operational. Now got a house full of macbooks.

First time Mac user. It was quite easy getting used to the new programs and saying goodbye to Windows.
Especially since you can easily run office on your Mac.
Brilliant laptop, at an unbeatable price September 1, 2010 James 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It took me a long time for me to bite the bullet and buy my new MacBook Pro. What clinched it was the unbelievable price that it was going for on Amazon. At a 12% discount I couldn't resist. Trying to save every penny I opted for super saver delivery, but rather than the the 3-5 business days indicated it arrived at my home after just two days.
I've been using it for a couple of months now and I have to say that I'm completely delighted with the purchase.
Best Computer I have ever owned August 30, 2010 J. Morgan (Liverpool, England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I received my MacBook Pro last week and I am extremely impressed with it. It came within two days of the order and was in perfect condition. The laptop itself is simply 'incredible', there is no other word for it. This is just the base model and it is lightning fast, has awesome features such as the easy to use, intuitive and very handy Multitouch Trackpad and the incredibly long-lasting battery which can last around 8 - 10 hours, I was even running iMovie and several other programs with the backlight on full and the backlit keyboard on full and it still managed 5 or 6 hours, which is very impressive especially compared to my old HP which lasted around 30mins to 1 hour with nothing running. Typing on it is just a joy and the keyboard is very comfortable to use and you don't get cramps in your hand, especially if you follow the guidelines in the manual given. Apple has thought of everything with this laptop and it has neat little features like a button on the side which lights up a small LED strip to indicate your battery level without having to switch the laptop on. Another good thing about the laptop is that the start up and shutdown is so fast, due to the Mac OSX operating system the laptop powers up in around 10 - 15 seconds or less and shutdowns in around 3 seconds! The only problems I can think of with this laptop is that it only has 2 USB ports but it also has and SD card slot, bluetooth and Firewire 800 and it is rather expensive but it is totally worth it. In my opinion it is definitely worth the money and the price Amazon is offering it for is incredible, it is £999 or more anywhere else. A must buy.
